Evaluation of a constructed head phantom response in comparison with RANDO head phantom in the same gamma field

Human tissue equivalent phantoms are widely used in medicine. They are used for dosimetry, calibration of medical devices, and quality control of radiotherapy equipment, as well as training students. Regarding to development of radiotherapy techniques for treatment of cancers and also development of educational centers in the country, the human equivalent phantoms are needed. Several phantoms h...

Geometric Methods in Wavelet Theory

In this paper we present an overview of how geometric methods can be successfully used to solve problems in Analysis. We will focus on selfsimilar objects and use their structure to construct frames, Riesz bases and wavelet bases in R with a single generator function. Further, we show that the generating functions for these systems are dense in L2(R).

Nonlinear numerical prediction of human head/helmet crash impact response.

A nonlinear, finite-element, model is used to examine the biodynamic impact response to helmeted and unhelmeted headforms having human response characteristics. The human response headform is modeled as a spherical brain of nearly incompressible material, a covering of linear elastic dura, a linear elastic spherical skull, and a layer of nonlinear scalp material. The helmet system is modeled as...
